! Some Background - How WE Prepped for this Game - 10/08/2006!

Well, this story started about 8 weeks ago, when some fool, I think it was in fact me, suggested we have a 24hr type scenario…..a few whiskies later….(Thanks Andy…) and we had the basic ideas of how this whole lot would effectively hang together. Then came the fun part (If you think lots of work is fun) of going into the specifics of what will be required for a large scale scenario….

Safety Nets-These were replaced and extended to a length of over  100m to allow for a larger frontal view of the playing area.

Parking lot-This was widened and enlarged to allow for additional vehicles and spectators.

Marker Test Range-had to be moved because it was in the way of the parking lot.

Spot and Flood Lights-These were installed on the range, some as high as 8m to allow for the night section of the games.

Mowing of Parking lot and driveways.

Clearing of pathways with Bush Cutters etc.

Ordering of: Braaipacks/Meat/Cooldrinks/Ammo/Gas/Petrol and a myriad of small things to help the game run smoothly…

It all looks quite simple, doesn't it?

Then you look back and realise that you have spent an average of 2 hours per day dedicated to the preparation of this game…...for the last  two months…...Fun…..Fun….Fun….

Thanks to all who have assisted and contributed - You have helped tremendously!
